Fawad Khan condemns India’s Operation Sindoor in Instagram storyFawad Khan’s viral Instagram story calls India’s Operation Sindoor a ‘shameful attack’

When bullets fly and bombs fall in retaliation for innocent lives lost, emotions run high. But what happens when celebrities across the border start pointing fingers at the very nation defending itself?

Amid the rising tensions following India’s Operation Sindoor — a fierce retaliatory strike on terror camps in Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK) — Pakistani actor Fawad Khan has stepped into controversy once again. But this time, not for his film, not for his fashion — but for his words.

The Claim:

Fawad Khan, along with Mahira Khan and Hania Aamir, publicly condemned India’s Operation Sindoor, labeling it a “shameful attack” and raised “Pakistan Zindabad” slogans on Instagram.

The Reality:

It’s not fiction. It’s not photoshop. It’s a verified truth.

Around 9 AM, Fawad Khan, the actor who was once adored by Indian audiences, posted an Instagram story that has since gone viral — and not for the right reasons. His statement read:

“My deepest condolences to the families of those injured and killed in this shameful attack. I pray for the souls of the deceased and strength for their loved ones in the days to come… May better sense prevail. InshaAllah. Pakistan Zindabad!”

That’s right — while India mourns its martyrs and lauds the surgical precision of Operation Sindoor that took down terror camps harboring Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) masterminds, Fawad chose to call it “shameful.”

If that wasn’t enough, he ended his message with the nationalistic rallying cry — “Pakistan Zindabad” — a direct provocation that did not sit well with Indian netizens.

Pakistan’s Stars Are Uniting — Against India?

This isn’t a one-off. Mahira Khan, his co-star and fellow Pakistani actress, also took to Instagram, calling Operation Sindoor a “cowardly act.” Actor Hania Aamir joined the brigade by sharing journalist Fatima Bhutto’s post, amplifying the same sentiment.

All of this comes at a time when India is still reeling from the Pahalgam terror attack on April 22, which killed 26 people, including women and tourists from Maharashtra. The Indian Army and Air Force responded with strength — striking down 9 terror launchpads deep inside enemy territory in a bold overnight operation that’s now being celebrated as Operation Sindoor.

Fawad’s Film Career in India: Over Before It Could Begin Again?

Ironically, Fawad Khan was all set to make a much-hyped comeback to Indian screens with the film ‘Abir Gulaal.’ But after this statement? His silence might be the only thing released in India.

There is already massive public outcry and widespread demand to ban the film from Indian theaters. Netizens and even some film exhibitors believe Fawad’s anti-India stand has sealed the fate of the film even before its trailer could drop.

Verdict: TRUE

Fawad Khan did in fact post the now-viral Instagram story condemning India’s Operation Sindoor, calling it “shameful” and ending it with “Pakistan Zindabad.” Screenshots, media coverage, and social backlash confirm the legitimacy of his post.
