Fact Check: Empty seats in Delhi during PM’s speech?

A viral video is being circulated on social media, claiming that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s rally in Delhi was poorly attended, with empty seats in the background. The video includes Modi’s voice, suggesting he was addressing an absent crowd. However, FactCheck India has investigated the claim and found it to be MISLEADING.

What’s the Truth?

✅ Not Recorded During Modi’s Speech: The viral video does not show Modi’s rally in real time. It has been edited with fake audio to mislead viewers.

✅ Large Crowd Was Present: The original video from the rally in Kartar Nagar’s Yamuna Khadar on January 29 shows a packed audience, contradicting the viral claim.

✅ Edited Audio Manipulation:
The viral clip removes a key part of Modi’s speech, where he said:
🗣️ “This crowd is showing what Delhi’s mood is.”

This omission makes it falsely appear as if Modi was speaking to an empty ground.

✅ Visual Evidence Shows Crowd:
Live-streamed videos from PM Modi’s official YouTube channel and news platforms confirm that a large crowd was present. A key banner featuring Narendra Modi and BJP President JP Nadda is also missing in the viral clip, further proving it is manipulated.

Conclusion: The Claim is MISLEADING

🔎 FactCheck India confirms that the viral video has been altered to create a false narrative ahead of elections. The actual footage shows a large crowd at the rally, and the viral clip has been edited to spread misinformation.

📢 Verdict: ❌ MISLEADING
