Claim:

A video circulating on social media claims to show the Mossad (Israel’s intelligence agency) headquarters completely destroyed following an Iranian missile strike during the ongoing Israel-Iran conflict.

Rating: False

What’s Going Viral?

The video shows a dramatic nighttime explosion with massive fire and rubble, allegedly portraying the destruction of Mossad’s headquarters in Tel Aviv. Several posts across Telegram, X (formerly Twitter), Instagram, and Facebook claim this as evidence of Iran’s successful strike on Israeli intelligence facilities.

Fact Check:

1. Reverse Image and Video Search

We ran keyframes of the viral video through reverse image search tools (including Google Lens and InVID) and found no match to any verified news footage or authentic source. The visuals are not consistent with any real-world media coverage of recent missile attacks in Israel.

2. Analysis by AI-Content Detection Tools

AI-image forensics tools such as Hive AI, Deepware Scanner, and Illuminarty flagged several elements in the frames are such as inconsistent shadows, distorted edges, and unrealistic debris rendering from suggesting the video was AI-generated.

3. Official Sources Deny Attack

No credible international or Israeli media outlet has reported an attack on Mossad’s headquarters. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and Israeli media (Times of Israel, Haaretz) have confirmed that while missile defense systems were activated, no intelligence facility was hit.

4. No Verification from Iranian Sources

Even Iranian state media outlets like Press TV and Tasnim News did not claim a direct hit on Mossad HQ. While they celebrated attacks on infrastructure and military assets, they did not show or reference destruction of Israel’s spy agency building.

Verdict:

The video is AI-generated and not real footage of a Mossad facility being bombed. It appears to be part of coordinated misinformation aimed at fueling tensions and spreading panic during the Israel-Iran conflict. The viral video showing Mossad HQ being destroyed is fabricated and misleading.
