Social media users claimed that Yami Gautam intentionally liked an Instagram reel criticising Kriti Sanon after the latter won Best Actress at the Zee Cine Awards.

She explained that celebrities are frequently tagged in posts every day and that the interaction likely happened accidentally while browsing tagged content related to the awards.

Yami wrote that it “was definitely not done consciously” and added that “it may have been clicked accidentally.”

She also rejected suggestions that the action was part of a publicity stunt, saying she has never engaged in “cheap PR tactics.”
