Claim:
A viral video shows Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) Additional Secretary Nagaraj Naidu Kakanur claiming that Israel controls the United States and the global world order, and that India would work with Israel to “control” U.S. President Donald Trump.

The claim is false.

What Is The Viral Claim?

A video circulating on social media allegedly shows MEA Additional Secretary Nagaraj Naidu Kakanur making controversial remarks about Israel, the United States, and the Quad alliance. In the clip, the official is purportedly heard saying that Israel controls the United States and the global world order and that India would stand with Israel to “control Mr. Trump.” The video was widely shared online, with users presenting it as an official statement made during a government briefing.

We searched for reports, government releases, and media coverage using keywords related to Nagaraj Naidu Kakanur and the alleged comments. Viral Clip Originates From An Actual MEA Press Conference

A reverse image search of keyframes from the viral video led to an official press briefing uploaded by the Ministry of External Affairs on May 26, 2026. The briefing was held following the Quad Foreign Ministers’ Meeting and featured Nagaraj Naidu Kakanur speaking at the podium in the same setting visible in the viral clip. A review of the complete press conference found that the official never made any statement resembling the claims circulating online. The same briefing was also broadcast by ANI, whose watermark appears in the viral clip. The ANI footage likewise contains no such remarks.

AI Detection Tools Flagged The Audio

To verify the authenticity of the audio, the viral video was analyzed using multiple AI-detection platforms.

The results showed:

Hive Moderation flagged the content as likely AI-generated or manipulated.
Hiya Deepfake Voice Detector identified the speech as likely generated using deepfake technology.
Undetectable AI also classified the audio as likely AI-generated.

The findings indicate that authentic video footage from the press conference was combined with fabricated audio to create a misleading clip.

Why This Claim Is Misleading

The viral video uses genuine footage from an official government briefing, which may make the content appear authentic at first glance. However, there is no evidence that Nagaraj Naidu Kakanur made the statements attributed to him. The remarks do not appear in the original press conference, and technical analysis suggests the audio was artificially generated.

Conclusion

The viral video claiming that MEA Additional Secretary Nagaraj Naidu Kakanur said Israel controls the United States and the global world order is fake.
